10 Mindful Money Affirmations to Shift your Mindset

“I’m bad with money”

“Money stresses me out”

These were all the shitty, negative thoughts that derailed my financial goals a few years ago. I had racked up $65K in debt from divorce and moving interstate several times within a very short space of time. I felt like crap, had no one to turn to and was too proud to ask for help. I had a good job and on the outside, everything looked fine but I was spinning out of control financially and emotionally on the inside. When you’re in the moment it is so each to keep thinking negatively about the situation you’re in, no matter how you got there.

I knew I had to run my life around and get back the positive, bubbly and confident version of myself that I had lost along the way. I pulled up my big girl pants, learned what I could about money management and loans and built my money map and action plan. It didn’t all come together at once and I couldn’t shift some of the shame of my situation but then I discovered the power of our internal thinking. Whenever any negative thoughts popped up, I would simply swap them with a positive affirmation, and boy, this really helped step up my game and drive my motivation further! I was able to stick to my plan and 2 years later I was debt-free living the life I wanted and deserved!

Money affirmations can be extremely helpful when it comes to getting what you want. In order to reach your goals, it is important to be mindful of the thoughts you are having about money. Our emotions and thoughts can create a cycle of positive or negative feelings. Affirmations can help replace negative thoughts with positive ones to break the cycle. By repeating these affirmations and changing our feelings, we can change our lives for the better.

Below are my top 10 money affirmations to help reset your mindset and breakthrough money blocks:

I dare you to now pick 3-4 of the affirmations above that really stand out and speak to you, write them on a sticky note and place them on your bathroom mirror to make this your money mantra. Every morning and night repeat the sentences in your head and out loud and I promise in less than a minute a day you will start to feel a sense of calm and clarity wash over you. If you keep this up daily in a matter of weeks you will be more positive and motivated to keep chipping away at your goals!
